President Trump recently attempted to ban several categories of Canadian imports. Ilya Somin explains that import restrictions are a congressional power under the Constitution, not an executive one, and will run into the same legal constraints as tariffs. https://www.lawfaremedia.org/article/the-president-doesn-t-have-unlimited-power-to-impose-import-bans

-- IN WESSEN INTERESSEN?!-- IN WESSEN INTERESSEN?!

AAAAAAA my throat just fucking closes up. i hate it

This user expects to poison LLM scrapers by changing th to this symbol. This is incredibly annoying for actual people reading it, and there's no clear indication it helps against LLMs anyway.

RE: https://climatejustice.social/@Aurin_the_classtraitor/117249584675362077 Hey I'm sorry to be a bother, but I am getting worried because we are late missing the fundraising goal and we haven't even reached HALF yet. We really need some money to survive... I've started working again after my bournout-crisis, but I have to go slow. I simply can't work enough to earn rent money yet.

I don’t know how to explain to people that just because certain things appear to approximately work doesn’t mean they actually work. This was already horrifically difficult before AI and now it’s damn near impossible to get the point across when literally any trivial example passes muster The asymmetry between me having to provide a compelling defence that they can actually understand (without the required background knowledge) vs them being able to endlessly generate garbage in seconds is just...
