@YannC Yes! They always look like they are smiling 🖤 💛 🖤 I used to encounter them by chance. This year, I tried for the first time deliberately... and it's not that hard. You can check on iNaturalist where they are often observed: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?subview=map&taxon_id=27726 Best time to see them is at night after rain, when it's below 18 degrees.

I am, once again, getting that weird urge to design and write an operating system. This one feels less strong though. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to work full time to support my family so I could do weird experiments in software and tinker in my workshop. Ok, maybe not sometimes.

Today in dog frustrations... My big fuzzbutt decided to roll around in a pile of wild animal vomit because she liked the smell. There was a river near the trail so she could be rinsed off at least and not smell up the car as bad. Still needed to spend the morning giving the her a thorough bath to get the stink fully removed.

I spent a bit of time today doing a bit of post jam followup on my #jernjam project. My intention is to rework some aspects of my story deck system to make it easier to do some kinds of plot management without needing to track tons of cards everywhere. Instead of having player actions insert individual event cards it's now possible for them to insert an entire deck into the hand to be played. I also changed how shuffling is done to avoid redrawing the same card multiple times. #gamede...

@tuvix@vivaldi.net What platforms do you have in mind? Mobiles or PC? What OS? What do you mean by Fediverse client? Do you mean Mastodon client? Fediverse itself include multiple other services. For web browsers I like to have a peak here: https://privacytests.org/

@tuvix@vivaldi.net On Apple devices I was happy with #iceCubes FOSS Mastodon client: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ice-cubes-for-mastodon/id6444915884

@tuvix@vivaldi.net I would say that it’s most probably as good as it can for good and matured #Mastodon client. It helps a lot that it can be verified by users/public by being Open Source, but from #privacy point of view it’s probably more important to understand limitations of #Federated network. This is great article describing this matter: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2022/11/mastodon-private-and-secure-lets-take-look
