@LadyDragonfly I think his demographic lives longer, though. But probably nix that because I don't think his egomania will do well in prison. Harsh penalties often mean more difficult convictions. I hope that's not the case here. I hope it's as slam dunk as it looks from here.

@jamesthomson Got the high pitch version -- imagine a radiator hissing. Not the worst, but damn if it doesn't wear me down when I'm already tired. Audiologist tested me a couple of years ago and swears it doesn't get in the way of hearing things (that's a different damage in R ear), but that's hard to believe. Thanks for posting, James. I may give this a try and see if there's one that works for me.

If anyone knows of a good tenancy lawyer in SF, please let me know. My colleague is a Stanford researcher and disabled. He want to bypass the Rent Board and is ready to take legal action. (And he's a great guy who does not need this grief, esp given the expense of this apartment in Mission Rock.)

Ich habe hier zwei verschiedene Ausgaben der deutschen Übersetzung eines Scheibenweltbuchs. Die beiden Ausgaben haben unterschiedliche Titel, der Inhalt ist aber exakt identisch. Es ist die gleiche Übersetzung und auch die Seitenzahlen und so stimmen überein. Ein Buch ist von 2003, das andere von 2004. Beide behaupten aber die deutsche Erstausgabe zu sein. In dem von 2004 steht sogar drin, dass es schonmal auf deutsch erschienen ist. Wie ist denn Erstausgabe definiert, dass das möglich ist? 🤔
