When I worked at a big investment bank in Canary Wharf, London, there were office building floors like this restaurant. You couldn't come in without a coat and tie. Us tech geeks tended to wear suits, but not ties. So when my colleague went to a floor to talk with one of the big wigs, the receptionist had ties in a drawer behind the desk. He had to borrow one just to go in. #KungFuSat

RE: https://mastodon.social/@SesameSquirrel/117377898748161760 Poor CYF is giving me PTSD to intern training at work -- triads are like any large organization: "talent development" is HELL if you have conceited, inexperienced know-it-alls #KungFuSat 💥 #RichAndFamous1987

One of the best parts of #folsomstreetfair is the week leading up to it, where folks just wander up and down Folsom in skimpy leather and nothin else as though it's just a normal day, like it could always be that way.

I’m being forced to use PowerPoint these days and its font rendering is so bad!!! Like Keynote wasn’t that great, but PowerPoint straight up does not support opentype features, something that a text editor should do. There’s no support for the multi-table kerning, making any modern font without truetype useless, it almost renders those fonts as each letter being a separate block. And even truetype support isn’t that great. The font menu has no options to adjust font features outside of barebon...

#Inktober is coming up again. There's the official list, of course, but lots of artists create their own. I used to spend days saving all those lists on Instagram and still missed some. But I don't want to rely on Meta anymore to check the prompts daily, so I'm reposting them in this thread. Add your own lists, either yours or others' you found. Obviously not made by/with any LLMs, only by souls. And please give credit to the artists, unless you really can&#...
