When I worked at a big investment bank in Canary Wharf, London, there were office building floors like this restaurant. You couldn't come in without a coat and tie. Us tech geeks tended to wear suits, but not ties. So when my colleague went to a floor to talk with one of the big wigs, the receptionist had ties in a drawer behind the desk. He had to borrow one just to go in.

@paco@infosec.exchange Yes. Upscale restaurants keep ties (some even keep suit jackets too), and it's weird to walk in without one and the maitre d pulls one out of a drawer and insists you wear it. #KungFuSat
