CSS Grid is powerful, but it has a hidden focus order trap. When visual order doesn't match DOM order, tab focus follows the DOM, not what's on screen, which is exactly the scenario that fails WCAG 2.4.3. Manuel Matuzovic walks through specific grid layouts where this breaks and what to do about it.
