So, the government has enough access to relevant data to instantly determine when I no longer qualify for certain low income benefits, but somehow requires me to complete a cumbersome application process for a rebate that pretty much everyone qualifies for? 🤔 #abgov #ucp

Industry knows the capacity will come years too late. The economics don’t work so industry will leave it to government. Your RW conservative #ucp wants taxpayers to pay? Welp, I've given it over 24 hrs. ALL of my disabilities and chronic conditions that are easily observable without additional sciencey stuff like #bloodwork or #CT or #MRI or #XRay are still OBVIOUSLY active. I am STILL disabled. I am extremely disappointed that the #UCP's decision to put me on #ADAP as of yesterday (July 1, 2026) instead of remaining on #AISH is clearly so arbitrary. They're supposed to be the #MostGenerous* of all the provinces!!!1! (*Their phrasing, not mine. Probably not the words most of us here trying to survive now on what is $200/mo LESS THAN in 2016 would use either 🙄😡) #LegislatedPoverty #PovertyAsPolicy 😳😬🙄😂 #ableg #abpoli #AISH #ADAP #ActuallyDisabled #disabled #disability

Imagine paying for NetFLIx every month, and then paying when you watch the movie, and then getting another bill 3 months later because one of the actors isn't signed with NetFLIX so you have to pay him directly. Also, your taxes are going to NETFLIX That'd be stupid, right? This is a (stolen) post about healthcare in Alberta, CANADA ftr public insurance works exactly like private, so privatization is flat-out STEALING the premiums paid into public ins. #UCP #CANADA #Alberta #Healthcare
