Un bambino di un anno e mezzo è morto all’ospedale di Catanzaro, mentre altri quattro piccoli che frequentano lo stesso asilo di Tropea sono stati ricoverati con sintomi analoghi. È quanto emerge dalle prime informazioni raccolte da fonti sanitarie, secondo cui tra le ipotesi al vaglio vi sarebbe quella di un’infezione riconducibile a un batterio. Al momento, tuttavia, non vi sono conferme sulle cause dei malori e bisognerà attendere gli esiti degli esami.
Tre dei quattro bambini ricoverati sono stati dimessi dopo le cure ricevute, mentre uno resta ancora ricoverato nell’ospedale del capoluogo calabrese, dove i medici continuano a monitorarne le condizioni.
Sulla morte del piccolo la Procura di Vibo Valentia ha aperto un’inchiesta per chiarire le circostanze del decesso e accertare eventuali responsabilità. I genitori del bambino hanno presentato una denuncia in Questura, dando così impulso agli accertamenti della magistratura.
Nell’ambito delle indagini è stata sequestrata la cartella clinica del piccolo, mentre la salma è stata posta sotto sequestro.
