For random reasons, I was watching Tom Waits interview videos the other night. He used the line: "I'd rather a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy." I thought it was such clever wordplay. Apparently it dates back to a book from 1965. #TomWaits

#morningCoffeeAlbum Swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits I was motivated to get this from Discogs by my ThursdayFiveList a couple of weeks ago. I already had Rain Dogs and Frank's Wild Years, so this completes the "Frank" trilogy. The album marks the beginning of Waits' move into more experimental music. I saw him on the supporting tour at The Dominion in London, when I was stood up by a girl I was rather keen on at the time. #nowPlaying #TomWaits #music #vinyl
