There have been many highs and sadly, a tragic low this Swainson's Hawk season in YYC. But as season end draws near in just a few weeks time, I am hopeful the family will complete their trek south safely and successfully return home in 2027. OMG is it even possible to get a legitimate answer for anything on the internet anymore without the top results being "written" by AI and full of ads top to bottom?? I was trying to find an explanation for why a Swainson's hawk mother would bring fresh twigs with leaves (and what species it would be) to a nest when the babies are just days away from fledging.
