We've made some expansions today in Chestertucky. #Rimworld I expanded out my base to make a vehicle bay. Right now, it has our goliath, our motorcycle, and two dead man's switch units I'm building out: Towards the bottom, there's the "army steed" autonomous armored transport. I'm building a GAU-4 machine gun to serve for its defenses which is the gun pictured in the black and white photo I found on google. I've named it Stryker. Next to it, I'm building an "Alligator Snapper, which is the mod's version of a main battle tank. I plan on naming it "Shitbarn", in honor of the FV4005 Stage II's unofficial name.

welp. I've made my first gundam, and I've equipped it with a jump pack for getting out of harm's way, and what's more or less an anti-tank artillery cannon as its main weapon. #rimworld

haha, I was able to fit almost all of my heavy mechs into the goliath drop pod. I left my two soldats behind to the other mechanist. #rimworld

enemy impids are drop podding in to set up a siege the quest to deal with them gave me six mercenaries one of them had the ATGM charge missile launcher one of my units also had an ATGM draft everyone to fight, venture out of range of enemy units sneak the ATGM pawns to a rock wall near where they are setting up mortars, and prepare to arc the shots over a rock wall/mountain range the ATGM missiles do a shit ton of damage, several pawns die outright The HE mortar rounds they brought and didn't even have the time to load into their mortars cook off and explode, ensuring anyone who was "downed" is DEFINITELY dead. 20 impids had landed. Only 3 of them survived enough to walk off of the map. #rimworld

current status: I have two soldat (basic soldiers), a grenadier (which I'm giving a grenade launcher), and my big boiiiii is the guardian, which is getting an under barrel machine gun, ceramic plates, muscle applicators, and tendon applicators for more speed, more protection and stronger meelee hits. I've also discovered that automatoids can be loaded as "cargo". Oh my goddd this is GREAT. #rimworld

finished repairing the goliath. #rimworld it's JUST like the dropships in warhammer 40k. It just drops on to the map at terminal velocity, no retrothrusters. good news: your crew is safe. everything under neath the goliath is not safe. it has 4 machine gun turrets, plus a rocket pod port. all you need is steel and chemfuel to make them fire. bad news: if you want to leave, you had best repair the thrusters that got totally wrecked when you landed at terminal velocity. next steps: did some base restructuring in order to make a sintering as well as a pressure chamber so I can get into dead man's switch mod territory, and build my own machine legion.

I'm playing rimworld, and "the frost"/ice age longterm event is in full effect. I have over 20+ heaters, and three chemfuel boilers trying to keep my base heated. researched into land reclamation to make soil, and researched tree sowing. With that, I was able to grow fungal trees for wood, and nutrifungus for food, with power left over for a sun lamp, to grow some corn and rice to be able to make lavish meals to keep morale up. I've cut down most of the wood inside the walls, and have somewhere north of 12,000 wood. We will be able to ride this out, I think. Every so often I get quests to fight 30+ manhunter packs of wild animals. With temperatures of -120 outside, and the only viable path into my base a literal maze of razor wire and bear traps, plus DMR turrets set up on nearby embrasures, my usual response is "I'd like to see you fucking try, chummer." to which then hilarious watch a manhunter pack of 30 cougars commit collective suicide on the razor wire death maze(tm). #rimworld

interesting events! I got a new one called "frost". Apparently the entire planet is experiencing an ice age. I had to get rid of all our pets, bring our growing facilities indoors, and I'm also starting to harness our geothermal power for heating our base as well. #RimWorld
