My transit system's decision makers are *terribly* clever! A while back, they sent out a survey asking what was important to residents, and the desire for regional transportation was high on the list.
So they thought "Ah! We will rebrand the system to no longer be an abbreviation of the names of the two primary cities, and poof...instant regional service!"
