Queer Left and the North My name is Artun Faliro, cultural critic, author, scholar-activist; theorist on politics of planetary health, innovation, arts. Reading, writing through a postcolonial queer-feminist lens. Based and live in Toronto. In 2023, I earned a Master of Arts (MA) from York U with my research on queer resistance and social movements in Uganda and Europe, and titled "Homocapitalism - The Imperial Boomerang". I am currently writing a new book expanding on this work.

I enjoyed reading this article that offers hope in this decade and unpacks ‘rest’ in relation to resistance and organizing for solidarity, democracy, rights and freedoms – Rest not as “to lie down and going to sleep” or going on a vacation or a hollow career ladder-climbing #project but instead, as radical memory and remembering, unpacking of #structural, historical and #epistemological violence and injustice.
