Cinnamon and Toast love each other like no two cats I've ever met. They're not closely related; Cinnamon was a rescue from California who passed through several shelters on his way north, and Toast is a year younger and was found starving with his siblings in a pipe in a farm in Langley. But as soon as we started fostering Toast and his siblings, Cinnamon became the perfect cat dad to them all, and Toast latched onto him and became obsessed. Nowy pacjent w mojej kociej klinice, kocurek o roboczym imieniu „Wściekły” (bo ma wiecznie wkurzony wyraz pyszczka). Razem z siostrą Jęzor (ma mlem przez 90% czasu) był częścią gangu Ryszarda*, trójki kotów regularnie przychodzących na nasze podwórko posępić o żarcie. To im robiłem ocieplany domek**, który niedawno pokazywałem, żeby miały gdzie się schować przed zimnem. Gdy przyszły ostatnie mrozy Rychu i Jęzor zjawiały się coraz rzadziej, widocznie siedzą gdzieś u sąsiadów w oborze/chlewie/stodole, ale Wściekły zjawiał się prawie codziennie i domagał żarcia.

Gdy w niedzielę wcześnie rano zobaczyłem, że tym razem najwyraźniej nocował przed naszym domem i to nie budce, tylko we wnęce okna do piwnicy, ma sopel na wąsach i zaklejone oczy, zgarnąłem go do ciepłej piwnicy. Dałem mu jeść i pić, przemyłem ciepłą wodą oczy i usunąłem zaschniętą wydzielinę. Jeść nie chciał, ale pije sporo. Ma też solidny katar, więc dzisiaj byłem u wety i Wściekły dostaje antybiotyk oraz lek przeciwzapalny.

Większość czasu spędzał na spaniu na krześle, ale teraz zaczął się trochę przeciągać, chodzić i myć, a wyczyszczone oczy jak na razie nie zakleiły się ponownie, więc jestem dobrej myśli.

Mam nadzieję, że uda się go wyleczyć, odrobaczyć, zaszczepić, wykastrować i znaleźć dom.
