if we look at Spain’s waves of expulsiones (aka deportations) and their use of eminent domain to take over the lands and properties of the deported, it’s clear they had expanded the definition of LIMPIA DE SANGRE and “one-drop rule” not for pedestrian racist reasons but because it was a quick way to make money.
so even though LA LIMPIA didn't have in Spain the same white supremacist connotations that #blanqueamiento had in #Argentina and #OneDropRule in the United States 🧵…
