Mark your calendars: Sunday, October 4, 2026 is the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, our parish's patron, and this year it marks the 800th anniversary of his Transitus, his passing into eternal life on October 3, 1226.
As Bishop of the Diocese and Presiding Bishop of Old Catholic Churches International, I am announcing that anyone who attends Mass at Saint Francis Parish and Outreach that day will receive a plenary indulgence, God's mercy meeting you completely, offered in honor of this milestone.
Come celebrate with us.

Belonging and Advent: A Season of Waiting, A Season of Displacement
The Fourth Quarter edition of Convergent Streams is now accepting submissions, and the theme carries forward the conversation we began this quarter on immigration and belonging.
Theme: Belonging and Advent
Advent has always been a season of waiting. But it is worth remembering that the Holy Family themselves knew displacement intimately. Mary and Joseph traveled while pregnant under census decree with nowhere to lay their heads. And soon after, the newborn Christ became a refugee, carried into Egypt to escape violence at home.
This Advent, we want to sit with that truth. What does it mean to wait in hope while displaced? What does it mean to find belonging in a manger, in exile, on the road? We are looking for reflections, essays, sermons, and pastoral stories that hold Advent and immigration together, not as separate themes, but as one continuous witness.
We welcome submissions from clergy, lay ministers, activists, and anyone moved to write on this theme.
Submission Deadline: September 11, 2026
Submit to: godseygreg@gmail.com
Edition goes to print: October 1, 2026

Join us today for Mass at Saint Francis Parish and Outreach.
We continue our series The Kingdom Worth Everything with week five: GROUND. In the Gospel, Jesus tells the Parable of the Sower, seed scattered on a path, on rocky ground, among thorns, and on good soil. This Sunday we ask what kind of ground we are for the people who land here.
This Mass is offered for all the homeless in our communities.

Join us this Sunday for Mass at Saint Francis Parish and Outreach.
We continue our series The Kingdom Worth Everything with week four: YOKE. Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and have been burdened, and I will refresh you. Take my yoke upon you... for my yoke is sweet and my burden is light." This Sunday we talk about what it means to trade the burdens we were never meant to carry for the one that actually fits.
This Mass is offered for the growth of our parish family.
