The conference was a blast! I caught most of the panel before my slot, and it was really interesting. Then they split into two breakout groups, and it felt like almost everyone chose mine 😋 The Rabbit Hole challenge tubes were a hit—there was a lot of cheering whenever someone opened one and got their prizes 😁 Three picks needed some corrective surgery afterwards, but all the equipment made it back to me by the end of the hour ❤️‍🩹 All in all, I feel like it was a very successful lockpicking village. #Conference #Locksport #Workshop

Hey 3D printing folx! Anyone want to design a 1.25" x 7" tube with a solid bottom and an inverted-tophat cap with a 45° hole for a ⅜" shackle? Maybe with some "Alice" branding etched into it? Then throw it up for free online for locksport folx to print their own? https://lgbtqia.space/@alice/116687213372776577 #3dPrinting #Design #Locksport

Getting ready for the conference this weekend! After the hinges on the challenge boxes I was making turned out to be too fiddly, I decided to come up with a different design...behold, the locksport challenge tube! 7" of hands-on, fun-filled, pipe—just begging to be popped by a bunch of eager new lockpickers! Each tube will be stuffed with a combination of candy, anti-ICE whistles, and lockpick starter sets. #Locksport #Lockpicking #DIY #Challenge

So, someone just sent me this DM, and I thought it would be fun to answer it here. It's only a half-joke. Like you know how some people get all worked up around nice sports cars? Yeah, it's like that...but not sad. Nice locks remind me of restraints, of being restrained, of working with my hands, of cold, smooth metal and lubricants, of skill and precision. No two locks are identical. Some are quick fun, some take hours of learning their secrets before they'll open up. Did you know different locks sound different when they open for you? They feel different inside too. Sliding tools into a new lock is something you can only do once, but you never know if that lock will be one you come back to again and again. I have locks in my collection that I've spent hundreds of hours picking over the years, and I still get excited when I hear them pop. I'm sure I could write a short romance novel on this topic, but I think you get the drift. #AskAlice #LockSport #DatingAdvice
