To give context:
The petition asks Parliament, and the Government of Canada, to use § 90 of the Constitution Act to over-rule Provincial legislation invoking § 33, the notwithstanding clause, to restrict the rights of transgender & gender diverse #Canadians.
It was presented by #NDP #MP Don Davies of #Vancouver #Kingsway on June 2.
The GoC has tabled a response to this petition 22 July, which I will not summarize: please read it yourself.
