Britain was rebuked in the #LeagueOfNations on #ThisDayInHistory in 1933 for allowing #ChildMarriage in its #PalestineMandate law code. They first set it at 13 for girls, and lower under certain conditions, but raised it to 15 in 1936. Prior #Ottoman law used a minimum age of 17.
