#Reform led #KCC Kent County Council proudly announced today their latest cost-cutting measure. They are going to do away with their cost-cutting department You can't make this shit up Xxx

#Reform at #KCC have voted last Friday to destroy 100 acres of irreplaceable ancient woodland at Oaken Wood, West Maidstone. The Kent Mineral Sites Plan passed by a razor-thin 37–33 margin. To force it through, the chair used "special powers" (Reform are funded by greedy millionaires) to completely block a #Green Party amendment to save the site—shutting down debate and a democratic vote. #SaveOakenWood #Maidstone #KCC #AncientWoodland #ProtectNature #GreenAction

One of the proudest things I ever did was, in conjunction with a Green Councillor, getting #KCC to re-instate #Trans literature they had removed from their libraries Xx https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cq8pl532d7lo

A minor political earthquake shook #Kent this morning after the #GreenParty defied expectations to snatch victory at a crunch by-election. The Greens’ decisive win in the #Cliftonville division of Kent County Council (#KCC) came after an intense two month campaign into which four of the main parties threw huge resources For #Reform UK, it was the first by-election to be fought since their massive victory at KCC last year and was regarded as a “must win” But they did not win. They failed.
