@flargh@mastodon.social My high school calculus teacher took my cassette player (Koss, not Sony) from me during class one day. As she put it in her desk drawer, she noticed I was listening to Dire Straits (likely their first album or Communiqué). “Bring in a blank tape next class”, she said.
It was returned to me the next week with JJ Cale’s Naturally, Okie, and Troubador albums (which I later dutifully bought on CD, of course). Still have the tape. Crying opens side 2 of this tape, BTW. Great song. #JJCale #music
