It's a little under 4 years since I was last able to work, and that was in software development. Since then, I've completely forgotten everything about programming and being able to work. And yet.....
For the last 2 days across multiple sleep sessions, I've been having a continuing dream that I was just starting a software developer job in the format of "in the day of". I'm experiencing all the uncertainties, intrapersonal relationship disconnects, and politics that go along with that. I can already feel me responding with autistic overwhelm and even the start of an autistic meltdown, typical in my past very broken professional career.
Why dream about this now? What purpose does reliving through that pain now achieve? I'm not trying to challenge myself, and I don't see how I could get back to that life because of being disabled in many ways.
I had read a couple threads here of IT terminology I worked with decades back. Could it be that simple?
