Working on putting the IIAF markings on this F-14A Tomcat. Interesting it has a mix of USN maintenance stencils on it as well. #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft

Further progress on my IIAF F-14 Tomcat 😺 project as the base Sand tone was sprayed to finalize the camouflage. Added the anti-glare so I could unmask it and see the results. Some touch up work but 👍🏻 #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

This Weekend in The Hangar: Chipping away at a build #2 - I've also experimented with the "Hairspray Method" of chipping on this G4M1 Type 11. It can net you a very finely chipped effect. See more on this method at: https://www.flypastrush.com/post/betty-1-48th-tamiya-isshikirikko-g4m1-type-11 #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft #FinishedKits

This Weekend in The Hangar: Chipping away at a build - One tried method to get that worn look was experimented with on my Ki-84 Hayate (Frank). See more on this method at: https://www.flypastrush.com/post/frank-s-paint-job-1-48th-otaki-ki-84-hayate-type-4-frank #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft

Mid-week progress on the IIAF F-14 Tomcat 😺 as the Medium Brown got masked off and a coat of DarkGreen was added to the camouflage. #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

Did I mention that I am also working on these two 1/48 RCAF Mustangs..? RCAF P-51D Mustang - City of Hamilton Squadron (Red) and - City of Winnipeg Squadron (Blue/Yellow) Busy bench these summer days 🌞 #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

A View from the Rafters: The Hangar crew makes preparations for some systems checks on the new German F-4F Phantom II. An outside engine test may be scheduled for later in the week 👻 😎 #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

This Weekend in The Hangar: Take Five - Aggressor lineup (CF-5D & CF-5A) #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

Onto the finer details of my MiG-29UB (which always takes a disproportionate amount of time to complete, however it does add to the effect) Now, if I can manage not to break them off every time I touch it, I may get it to The Hangar later today. The crew is anticipating its arrival. #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft

This Weekend in The Hangar: The newest of the New Arrivals at The Hangar for an Aggressor lineup. CF-5D; T-38; T-38 #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

This Weekend in The Hangar: A flurry of activity this morning as a couple of New Arrivals came into The Hangar for a later photo session. #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

Monday Model Making: It’s anti-glare night at The Paint Shop with Mustangs and MiGs getting topped off with the dark tones. #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

Another multi-media short run kit that can produce a great model (not easily) was this Two Bobs T-2 Buckeye. The type was not available in a main-stream kit, however this and the Special Hobby releases covered Venezuelan, Hellenic as well as USN markings: #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft https://www.flypastrush.com/post/top-gun-trainer-1-48th-two-bobs-t-2c-buckeye

The complex/challenging builds include multi-media short run kits. If your subject isn't available as a main-stream these can get you there, but it's going to take more work. I've built a few now & this Firefly was a favourite : https://www.flypastrush.com/post/rcn-warrior-1-48th-grand-phoenix-firefly-mk-1 #HistScaleModels #ModelAircraft

Got to the Wash on - Wash off stage this week with my 1/48th Kinetic CF-5D. Now progress seemingly slows to a crawl with all the small details yet to come, gear, pylons, pit detail, antennas etc. #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels
