US Special Operation on Tanker in Gulf of Oman
A Force Recon unit from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit conducted a helicopter-borne boarding of the Iran-linked tanker Celestial Sea (Aruba flag) in the Gulf of Oman. The insertion was performed without parachutes from an SH-60 Seahawk under helicopter cover.

US disables Iranian tanker in Gulf of Oman
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has officially confirmed an attack on an Iranian tanker in the Gulf of Oman. According to the military, an F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet operating from the USS Abraham Lincoln struck the vessel after it violated the established naval blockade. The tanker's crew received multiple warnings before the use of force, but they failed to comply. As a result of the strike, the vessel sustained damage and lost its ability to continue navigation. This incident marks another escalation in the region where the US conducts maritime control operations.
