"Yesterday [Trump] signed two proclamations. One will shrink Bears Ears National Monument by 91%, and the other will shrink Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument by about 90%. Together, they remove nearly three million acres (1.2 million hectares) from monument protection." - Heather Cox Richardson
They want to repeal the Antiquities Act - the act that protected the Grand Canyon from development.
