When the plant can’t burn coal anymore, what’s a coal plant town to do? For 75 years, Trenton, N.S., has played host to a coal-fired generating station, but the plant has to switch to another fuel by 2030 or shut down. About a third of the town's revenues come from the plant, and the mayor says that means Trenton has an uncertain future. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/when-the-plant-cant-burn-coal-anymore-whats-a-coal-plant-town-to-do-9.7297284?cmp=rss

Ok folks. Finally. The government consultation on ending trail hunting with dogs is open as of yesterday 27/3/26 for you to add your thoughts. It closes mid June. Please dont wait to add your own voice to why the neglectful way humans use animals for blood sports is cruel and how they are discarded when their usage is over. Dogs, horses and wild creatures should be able to live free of malicious use. From hounds to terriers, foxes to domestic cats murdered brutally on their own home territory, to dogs being run over, hunting uncontrolled across roads, to being shot and skipped still not dead. https://consult.defra.gov.uk/defra/trail-hunting-consultation/ Lets finally tell elitist so called sports folk that they need to stick to the ones that dont misuse animals. #animalrights #bloodsport #governmentpolicy
