I had a GoFundMe link up the other day but became disillusioned because I thought no one wanted to help. Having been evacuated because of the Gold Mountain Fire ( #GoldMountainFire ), I'm on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. The #GoldMountainFire near Ouray, CO (ignited yesterday) and the hours-old #WillowFire near Leadville, CO are both spreading rapidly and exhibiting extreme fire behavior and are burning mainly in high-elevation timber, with expanding evacuations in these areas. #COwx

@weatherwest@mastodon.social I'm an evacuee for #GoldMountainFire. I saw its start at .1acre. We were given the leave immediately order 2:50 later as firefighters raced to protect our neighborhood. I watched it spread so fast, with a sinking feeling.
