I forgot how much of a slog the Super Mario Bros Deluxe Challenge mode was.
But, i am really surprised they haven't brought something like this back.
I suppose the "challenge" nowadays is to get the star coins, but the idea of a score attack in a Mario game isn't a bad idea in the slightest.
Admittedly, for SMB Deluxe it is a little frustrating that hitting all thise score targets doesn't actually get you that crown by the total score bar, you need to go a little above and beyond for that!
