Attended an open house for a Jewish friend's mom last night. For all sorts of really complicated family dynamics, he's not attending the funeral, so this was his way of saying goodbye. It was such a lovely evening - all of his close friends were there, a rabbi friend of the family was there to say the Kaddish prayer. Watching my friend, standing with his wife, his four year old in his arms, surrounded by 40 of his closest friends, I thought, "THIS is family." ❤️ #FoundFamily
