Want to find people with similar interests? We built an opt-in People Directory that links people to topics based on hashtags in their bio! It's cleverly simple, yet consent-driven because you need to add the #fedi22 hashtag to your bio to be included. (Yes, that's where that hashtag came from) https://fediverse.info/people?topics=photography #PeopleDiscovery #PeopleDirectory #FediverseInfo

I'm really happy that https://Fediverse.info now has a trusted team of admins to help manage this fediverse resource! https://fediverse.info/team #Fediverse #FediverseInfo

Find real people to follow across the fediverse with similar interests!*

Art: https://fediverse.info/people?topics=art

Nature: https://fediverse.info/people?topics=nature

• • People have consented and self-submitted themselves, via the #fedi22 hashtag in bios, you can verify that yourself. Long live consent driven discovery ❤️

I'm quite proud of the new https://fediverse.info including the admin dashboard that I've invited a few trusted people to help oversee. Such an important resource requires trust and integrity, and the admin audit log helps ensure we all remain accountable. Such collaboration and unbiased stewardship is crucial for a service like this, and I'm thrilled to play a part in making fediverse onboarding easier and more accessible. ❤️ #fediverse #fediverseInfo

Just added a new Messaging category to https://fediverse.info/apps Thanks to @maddyunderstars@aus.social for sharing her Shoot project, it looks very promising! #fediverse #fediverseInfo

Security is crucial for a service like https://fediverse.info which is why I am enforcing all invited admins to configure 2FA during the onboarding process! #fediverseInfo #security

What is really cool about the new https://fediverse.info admin dashboard is the audit log and activity feed, allowing admins to keep track of changes and comment on them, in the event we need to revert or make other adjustments. #fediverseInfo

I am proud to announce the new fediverse.info admin dashboard has been shipped, and I have invited @koen@procolix.social, @evan@cosocial.ca and @jaz@toot.wales as the first 3 admins to help oversee and manage the service. Once they finish registration, they can opt to make their profile public on the About page! https://fediverse.info/about #fediverseInfo

I'm almost ready to ship the updated https://fediverse.info admin dashboard, and onboard a few trusted people to help maintain this service. I spent the last 6 hours implementing an audit log, activity feed (with comments) and soft deletes to ensure we maintain a clear and transparent changelog so we can maintain trust and integrity in the service! I'm super proud of this, and really appreciative of the new admin team that will help maintain this essential service! #fediverseInfo

I heard you. You said https://fediverse.info looks vibe coded and too corporate. So I redesigned it. Feedback wanted ❤️ #fediverseInfo

The fediverse.info People Directory filtering has been updated. Suggested = Most followers Active = Newest Oldest = Oldest entries Sorry for the excessive crawling, we had to populate these counts. Profile follower/following counts will be recrawled bi-weekly, and we will crawl profiles weekly to ensure the directory remains up-to-date. #fediverseInfo #peopleDirectory

The People Directory now supports direct links to people, along with a rich new overview ✨ https://fediverse.info/people?topics=photography&profile=@dansup@mastodon.social #fediverseInfo #peopleDirectory

Find people to follow that share the same interests ⚡️ https://fediverse.info/people?topics=photography #fediverseInfo #PeopleDirectory

Edit: Shipped! https://fediverse.info/people Imagine being able to find people based on a combination of several topics! Ethical, opt-in and consent driven discovery done right ✨ Shipping soon! #fediverse #discovery #fediverseInfo #peopleDirectory #fedi22

I built a whole admin dashboard for the new fediverse.info, and will invite a few trusted people to help manage this! Such a useful and important resource shouldn't be controlled by just me, and I look forward to making this a community project. #fediverse #fediverseInfo

Loops Starter Kits and Mastodon Collections will soon be easier to find and discover, once the new https://fediverse.info ships! #fediverse #fediverseInfo #starterKits #featuredCollections

The new fediverse.info is built around consent.

To be included in the People Directory, you will need to add the #fedi22 hashtag to your bio.

To add a Starter Kit or Collection, it needs to have discoverable === true.

We do not crawl or store personal data like statuses/followers/following, and will make it easy for admins to block access as we use a constant user agent and will check robots.txt

✨

Last minute feature addition, the new fediverse.info People Directory will allow you to find people via multiple topics (up to 5)! One more thing, I added query parameter support, so you can share links to specific topics or multiple topics 😎 Soon.jpg #fediverse #fediverseInfo

I'm almost ready to ship the new https://fediverse.info 🥳 Just wrapping up a report feature and the admin dashboard, so we can keep the People Directory and Starter Kit index nice and clean. #fediverse #fediverseInfo

I created https://fediverse.info back in 2022, and am about to ship the 3rd major redesign. 2022 - "Social networking, back in your hands" 2025 - "Own your social universe" 2026 - "Social media that belongs to you" The messaging hasn't changed, but I have designed several new pages and resources to improve onboarding ✨ #fediverse #fediverseInfo
