In the #FateGrandOrder multiverse and supremely profitable gambling-game franchise (oh dear how are we even going to THINK about digging into that squirming mass of curses) the spirit of the #Voyager missions is represented by the Heroic Spirit seen below, nicknamed "Boyager", and clearly he's been infused with the undying and insatiably curious powers of Le Petit Prince, a favorite of mine in childhood...I know I'm not alone in regarding that text as almost...holy writ. Almost. I wish to talk about that "Almost" in connection with My Dinner with André, which we've written about intermittently over the last few years. But later.
For now, I give you Boyager. Whatever else you can say about #Fate corporate shenanigans and exploitation...certain of its heroes burn very brightly indeed. He touched my heart, reminding me of two of my favorite things from childhood that I happened upon about the same time: Le Petit Prince and the Voyager pictures from Saturn.
I salute you, Boyager. It does me good to know that one tiny speck of my childhood survives yet, almost one light-day from home.
