I'm trying to do one post a day of an image from the thousands I've found on the internet over the years, to share my love of art and culture and humans. previously @raybaptist low- to high-brow, sobriety/recovery, reading and writing, radical progressive social change, humor cis male white hetero ally b.1975 The words are mine, the art I found on the internet and I attempt to name the artist. Deliberately avoiding current events here (indirect references sometimes).

Garden in Provence, Vincent Van Gogh, 1888
I try not to post much Van Gogh or Monet because they're so well known and ubiquitous. But this I didn't realize was Van Gogh, although it didn't surprise me. He did amazing things with dark and light and shapes and strokes that I can see but couldn't reproduce. To me, there's something really natural about it, messy in the way that life is messy? idk I think it's amazing

Why a recent Court of Justice case about drivers reporting police checks (Coyote System, Joined Cases C-188/24 and C-190/24) could cause collateral damage to #freedom #of #expression in Europe.
My latest piece argues that recent CJEU case law is #eroding EU intermediary liability protections to the detriment of users.
