The European Parliament triggers a procedure to ban AfD’s EU Party. Parliament kicked-off a verification procedure against the Europe of Sovereign Nations (ESN) party. The vote tasks the Authority for European Political Parties and European Political Foundations to investigate ESN’s compliance with EU values. At the end of the process, it could be stripped of its right to be a political party and lose its funding. https://mediafaro.org/article/20260707-the-european-parliament-triggers-a-procedure-to-ban-afds-eu-party?mf_channel=mastodon&action=forward #EuropeanParliament #EU #ESN #AFD #FarRight #Politics
