Soooooo ... #rant time fuckers ! A moron born before the big bang decided to use his brain power to create I quote " a customisable formatter for #dart" . So for the no technical people, the #dart language comes packaged with a tool called #drtfmt whose only purpose is to format your code against the standard. So this tool format everyone code the same way, helping sharing, readability and writing others tools to parse, build and so on (for example the #builder package) So this dude came with this wonderful idea , which is kinda like creating a new road sign because you think this random street should be limited at 56.97 km/h (mph) with the excuse that others country does it. Indeed #rust, python and others propose customisable formatters but except for #rust none of them have the code formatting being part of the code standard and specification. I tested the tool and it does break some validation rules of my linter, in it's default configuration. I try to talk with the package creator which is verbatim that he's some kind of genius and can afford to break standard for "two important points of formatting" being line break after coma and I don't remember the others. Before trying to change the language you're using for two weeks , publish some actual packages, work with others packages from the language and than propose a specification changes for ffs. Nice swimming in the muddy water and see you never
