Il Fatto Quotidiano: “Portare a Venezia un cortometraggio che racconta i ragazzi dell’Istituto dei Tumori mettendo al centro le loro vite, non la malattia, significa molto”: Pier Silvio Berlusconi parla di “Nonostante tutto” Verrà presentato domani, mercoledì 9 settembre, a Venezia, durante l’83ª Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica, il cortometraggio “Nonostante tutto”, prodotto da Mediafriends in collaborazione con l’Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori di Milano. “Portare alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia “Nonostante tutto”, un cortometraggio che racconta i ragazzi dell’Istituto dei Tumori mettendo al centro le loro vite, non la malattia, per Mediafriends e per tutta Mediaset significa molto. Significa raccontare le loro storie, i loro sogni, la voglia di guardare avanti. Essere al loro fianco e dare voce a tutto questo è ciò che per noi conta davvero” spiega Pier Silvio Berlusconi, presidente di MFE – MediaForEurope. Il cortometraggio – diretto da Cristiano Nardò, che ne firma anche la sceneggiatura insieme a Tobia Passigato – vuole dare spazio non tanto al racconto della malattia quanto a quello delle persone che la attraversano. I protagonisti del corto sono ragazzi che stanno affrontando l’adolescenza, durante la quale però sono chiamati anche a fronteggiare una prova in più: la malattia. Questa è la prospettiva che viene adottata in “Nonostante tutto”, dove al centro della scena ci sono i ragazzi del Progetto Giovani e in particolare la sit-com alla quale hanno lavorato, “Ho preso un granchio”. Ideata e scritta dagli stessi ragazzi, rappresenta un innovativo modello di cura psicosociale, dove i giovani in cura hanno avuto la possibilità di scrivere e inventare personaggi, costruire situazioni e andare in scena, finendo così per riappropriarsi delle parole e dell’immaginazione, al di là della diagnosi. A produrre il cortometraggio è Mediafriends, che dal 2003 è l’ente filantropico di Mediaset, volto a promuove iniziative di solidarietà sociale. It means telling their stories, their dreams, and their desire to move forward. Being by their side and giving voice to all this is what truly matters to us,” explains Pier Silvio Berlusconi, President of MFE – MediaForEurope. The short film – directed by Cristiano Nardò, who also wrote the screenplay together with Tobia Passigato – aims to give space not so much to the narrative of the illness as to that of the people who experience it. The protagonists are teenagers who are facing adolescence, during which they are also called upon to confront an additional challenge: the illness. This is the perspective adopted in “Despite Everything,” where the focus of the scene is on the children of the Young Project and particularly the sitcom they worked on, "I Caught a Crab." Designed and written by the same teenagers, it represents an innovative psychosocial care model, where patients had the opportunity to write and invent characters, create situations, and perform on stage, ultimately regaining control of their words and imagination, beyond the diagnosis.
