Since I've tried them all I've landed on KDE, dwm and a slew of other window managers. Quintessential distro-hopper, but running Slackware for over 3 years now. And counting. Let me introduce you to the rabbit hole of the month. What a superb publication! Number one: advertising in mags was still a big thing.
Number two: it brought back that rush of enthousiasm and curiosity, like when i opened my first Toshiba 8088 laptop, at home, on my kitchentable. When Windows was still fun. OS/2!
Number three: The Chaos Manor, with dr. Jerry Pournelle. I don't need to say anything else.
