Hey #FediVerse I have a #Botany question. This shrub is just up the road from me, I pass it on my dogwalk. I think there are two species along the row, one of them seems to be almost entirely covered in webbing or what look like cobwebs. The webbing appears to be only on the more browned parts of the plant. I've lived here almost 30 years and don't recall seeing this phenomenon. Or at least I think I don't. Anyone know what this might be? My guess was that it's some form of protection for the plant against something.
