@cstross@wandering.shop The original source of the image, used as stock art in quite a number of places, a photograph of a museum display taken by Théodore Poncet, is misleadingly labelled "a laptop on a table". M. Poncet's LinkedIn history says that in 2022 when xe took the photograph xe was working as a developer for Apple. So there's that.
