@wolfwalks@app.wafrn.net asked Have you been to a furry con before? What was your favorite part, OR what are you most looking forward to? yes i have, though i've always gone to eurofurence. i like the freedom of it. i am pretty openly a furry with my friends but i have had people say that furries are weird, and that they're acting strange on the internet. and honestly? i agree. but i do like that weirdness and strangeness. it's freeing. i like that the furry community has a place for everyone. eurofurence hosts several kink events and while i'm not personally a part of most of them (rubber/pooltoy furries, for example) i'm so happy that they have a place here because it also makes me feel safer to express myself. i love seeing people's obviously kink-inspired fursonas. i like the authenticity of people proudly saying "yeah, this is me, this is all of me". i use it as a chance to get my freak out. i can be weird, i can be strange, i can be free. it's nice. i would go to more conventions if i could afford to, but for right now it's just once a year. and i do try to make it count. for this year i am mostly looking forward to presenting the game @Caramelcorgi and i have been working on for a few months now. it's still in very rough shape (and there is no public footage yet, sorry -- i would prefer the first impression to be as good as possible. though caramelcorgi has a few sprites on his profile), but we are working on polishing it. i've already had very good feedback the very few times i've shown off real footage to others in person, so i hope that in two months of additional polishing there will be considerable interest at the convention. i love the furry community. i've been in it since i was a teenager. i love the radical inclusivity of it - no matter how weird or niche your interests are, you'll find a place within. #ask #ef30 #eurofurence
