It would be so much nicer if, rather than forcing volunteer editors and reviewers to hunt for spelling mistakes and bullying authors for making them, scientific publishers could just pay for some proper proof editors, like magazines in any other industry. It shouldn't be about being perfect; it should be about having a support system in place to pick you up when you aren't. #AcademicChatter #AcademicPublishing

Una de mis actividades es ser editor de la revista Annals of Hepatology, y como cada año, la publicación del factor de impacto determina el resultado de mucho trabajo. Este año nos fue muy bien, por lo que creo que se debe cuestionar esa métrica que tantos dolores de cabeza nos ocasiona.
