The big red eye looks like it’s in a broken summoning circle. This is beautiful.

gay/bi men were heavily restricted on blood donation in the U.S. since the early 80s, due to the AIDS crisis. It was frequently worded as “men who have had sex with another man even once since 1977”. There were a number of cases of people infected with HIV via transfusion, so the policy wasn’t completely irrational in 1985. By 2005, it was just lingering homophobia.
Eventually it was relaxed to “in the past 12 months”. I think the 2023 guidelines are 3 months now?

@adamshostack@infosec.exchange I am slightly terrified what an LLM loyalty program might ask of its users.

@bk1e@mastodon.social I am slightly spoiled in having Irn Bru and a selection of Trappist ales at the convenience store down the street.

@soatok@furry.engineer oh I see https://www.itu.int/rec/dologin_pub.asp?lang=e&id=T-REC-X.680-202102-I!!PDF-E&type=items
In the data structures themselves. Yea I would be very interested in an example of it being Turing complete

@soatok@furry.engineer maximum gayness in all things.
I don’t think it is. There’s no branching or flow control that I know of. Maybe there’s some trick in the module import feature that gets you to recursion accidentally. I’m very much not a theorist, though.
What’s the Yes argument?

@DrollTide@mastodon.social @gwynnion@mastodon.social my apologies, but I’m very confused. All of activities pictured have an appropriate number of cats.

@jamesh@aus.social @mjg59@nondeterministic.computer I remember that happening. Also people saying not to worry about going back to bearer tokens because now TLS was everywhere and we didn’t have to worry about token leaks.
So dumb.

@3DBill@mstdn.ca on IRCC’s side, quite possibly AI, but it’s still speculation.
IRCC leadership has been very tight lipped about exactly *WHAT* happened, beyond Minister Diab ordering the surrenders “the second” that she found out. She declined to say what she found out.
It didn’t make it to the article, but I don’t fault the IRCC staff. Their leadership didn’t put much effort into updating genealogy standards before the law changed in December. There has been some belated updates issued after the surrender letters started. For those who work there and care about the integrity of the immigration process, I suspect it’s quite frustrating.

Canadian citizenship: ACHIEVED 🍁
No I’m not leaving Ireland. I’m a “Lost Canadian”, and Canada recently expanded eligibility for citizenship by descent. Ireland will take a few more months, as I’m taking the naturalization route.
