I first used linux with Ubuntu Hardy Heron, I was 8 or 9 years old… the ‘macs are cool’ to ‘modifying windows to look like mac’ to ‘try linux’ pipeline was real I did move back to windows with the windows 7 ‘black’ beta I found on kickasstorrents tho. Ah… 2008 was a much simpler time (on the internet)
