I reinstalled Linux on my desktop today. In general, once it's working it's fine, but getting it to install has not been straightforward.
I've been installing Linux on desktops since 1994, so I'm okay with this, but here are some things I think would turn off people who are used to Windows or MacOS:
1. Setting up a USB install drive
2. Multi boot, especially with multiple drives
3. Graphics drivers
Multi boot is hard even in Windows, but USB install and graphics drivers aren't.
