Some of the knee jerk reactions on here are properly ill informed.

There were two significant votes.

Vote 1. A vote to amend the proposal from the EPP and the Commission, which amendment banned "automated assessment of unknown photos and text" -- in other words, removed Chatcontrol from the text before Parliament. (This was amendment 34)

This was opposed by the EPP and the Nazis, but was supported by Renew, Greens, Left and most of Socialists and NonAligned.

It passed by ONE VOTE.
