Following Iran's response to attacks by the United States and Israel, Tehran closed the Strait of Hormuz to Washington and Tel Aviv, which resulted in a significant rise in oil prices in the United States. Pakistan is one of the countries that has allowed Iranian ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and Tehran has recently permitted 20 vessels flying the Pakistani flag to transit the Strait. Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar responded to Tehran's move, saying it is a positive, constructive, commendable initiative, and a step towards peace. The Foreign Minister also shared this message on former U.S. President Trump's Truth Social. Overall, there is a belief that Pakistani officials have consistently prioritized U.S. interests over their country and people, and it's possible that the ships sailing under the flag of Pakistan through the Strait of Hormuz will deliver oil to America.
