hey im pretty green to this whole microblogging thing, so uh, yeah i will probably fuck up a lot of things if ive seen you i will probably try to follow you, treat this less as an attempt to become friends with you (if this does happen, cool) and moreso me just trying to get to know as many folks as possible, since i enjoy doing that (also, if you deny my follow request and i send another one at some later point, ive just deadass forgot that i sent one in the first place) if you wanna reach out and interact with me directly, please use signal, not dms on here, i will offer an option for irc soon enough in case you dont have a signal account

1: accounts now have a field to state their users age, it lacks verification but sets a bad precedent going forward, providing a groundwork for other applications to ask a user for their age and have it impact their entire system ( https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/40954 )
2: system v support has been completely removed from systemd, bringing risk to versions of linux that support systemd alongside other init systems ( https://systemd.io/INCOMPATIBILITIES )
3: systemd now allows ai to be used within the systemd project, ai is being used to write as well as review code ( https://raw.githubusercontent.com/systemd/systemd/refs/heads/main/AGENTS.md )

if you want to avoid systemd and ai entirely, i would motion you in the direction of
chimera linux ( https://gts.chimera-linux.org/@chimera/statuses/01KK78VSB4G5S75STYEY3YTR2H )
and gentoo ( https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Council/AI_policy )
i could mention other projects that have a hard stance against ai and arent reliant on systemd as well, but those are the ones i can actually vouch for myself as being definitively "not shit"
