Typical reaction to anything that goes against group consensus is some form of "nah, that's not on mate" even if you're objectively right. A lot of tall poppy syndrome in ways too. In some ways we have the worst of UK goycattleism plus American narcissism. But city people are different to country people tbh. Country people are still normal. but again my POV is as somewhat of an outsider to the norm
