@cstross@wandering.shop i do have an alert for when my partner passes a certain shop, being an arbitrary spot that is about a nice distance for knowing hes almost home. If im understanding you correctly, it sounds like thats what you want? Of course, they have to approve you getting the ping :) (And unfortunately it also means you get a ping on their way out, but, meh)
