They want to be taken seriously. So if you have a trombone, bagpipes, a clown costume… anything that makes a mockery of their protest will hurt them more than all the facts and clever phrasing in the world. These people are prepared to argue that aren’t prepared for a clown with a ukalalee . White face paint is cheap. Add a couple red dots on your cheekbones and around your mouth. Boom you’re a clown. The whole time the are talking just stand next to them. Slump your shoulders and rub your hand under your eyes with the classic wrist twisting motion. So they know you’re crying with them. Make sure they can’t get a single good picture of their protest without “that damn clown is in the way!” Cost you about 3 bucks in supplies and would hurt than more than any megaphone. He’ll it’s a drag show? I’m sure someone could lend you some makeup if you tell them why.

Every once in a while say in a mocking voice “we demand to be taken seriously, seriously guys stop doing art, we don’t like it”

Clowns don’t talk. lol if you want to have an hour long debate on the differences between clowns and mines I’ll be happy to indulge but it’s probably best if you just back away lol

Well clown don’t talk but that doesn’t mean they are “silent” more specifically the point of their jokes are “silence” Clowns have different styles of jokes. There’s poor clown, the dumb clown, the bossy clown (found in clown groups ) angry clowns. So on and so forth. Now I don’t mean to talk down on mimes, not at all, they are fun too but their jokes are all about them being silent and you figuring out what’s going on. Trapped in a box, too windy, climbing a rope. They arent falling down stairs or getting into fights with other clowns. Mines are silent, that’s their bit. Clowns are silent but they have their own personalities. If you watch “welcome to derry” that last episode has a good example of a kind of clown act. He’s pulling flowers but a gopher keeps taking them, then you find out the flowers are for the grave of his wife and the gopher gives him a flower. There a storyline to the jokes. Btw pennywise the clown has great makeup. I know people see it as creepy but it does what it’s supposed to do. Highlights his smile his cheexk movements his forehead movements. That’s what the makeup is for. So the audience 50 feet away can see clearly when you’re smiling or frowning or crying. That’s the point of clown makeup. I’ve always wanted to be a clown instead I’m just a retail district managers who’s fantastic at his job… I should’ve been a clown lol

I love this. There is literally nothing in the world better than listening to someone talk about something they a _passionate _about. You are an awesome person on the lemmings and hope you don’t mind that I’ve tagged you as “Fucking loves Clowns is a good way”. And honestly it’s never too late to chase you passion. You should look around for some clowning classes near you.

I don’t know what bags are but as long as you understand clowns aren’t “just creepy” that there’s a corporate middle manager out there who has spent years thinking about clowns and dreams of leaving his life to go to clown school (btw I can attend every clown school on the planet for cheaper than an MBA) that’s all I want. Clowns aren’t a scary thing. To some of us they are amazing!
