𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗦𝗞𝗣 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗵𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗵𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗵𝘄𝗮 Taliban-affiliated Al-Mersaad media reported that a senior ISKP commander, Zalmai Badakhshi (aka Salman), was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the Shah Kas area of Peshawar. Badakhshi, an operational planner who reportedly fled Afghanistan in October 2025, was allegedly involved in planning the February 11, 2025 attack on a Kabul Bank branch in Kunduz. In the same report, Al-Mersaad for the first time explicitly claimed that Taliban have conducted operations against ISKP inside Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. They alleged that recent strikes in Tirah (Tor Dara) and Orakzai killed nearly 20 ISKP militants, including senior figures such as Haji Rahman (Abu Nasir) and Mullah Farooqi, indicating that the Taliban are pursuing ISKP even on the other side of the Durand Line.
